“The style of the shop is timeless and young traditional, so the assortment of merchandise tends to be eclectic. I focus very strongly on furniture and decorative objects with strong, clean lines. The modern look is highly appealing to me. Approximately two-thirds of the items are English 18th & 19th century, the rest is a mix of French 19th and 20th century, mid-century modern, and some Asian. However, I don’t restrict the store to any specific style or time period. The store offers anything I see and like when exploring the world for new pieces. Myrtle is arranged in a variety of cohesive seating groups to show off the items in lifelike settings and facilitate buyers’ imaginations.”

“In addition to the antiques, Myrtle also carries a wide selection of Pillow Inc. decorative pillows. Some are limited production made exclusively of vintage textiles, and other lines can be made to order. Pillow Inc. is a new, thriving and exciting business that takes me back to my native Texas, where we produce our pillows, and where my childhood best friend and partner now lives.”

“We sell a large number of antique floor lamps and a variety of other antique or vintage lamps. As a designer, I find it hard to find original floor lamps at reasonable prices, so as a shop owner I have worked hard to stock them or to convert other antique items into more uniquely appealing lamps. I find that lamps in pairs fly out of the shop.”
